Graduation Card and More

Two cards I've been asked to make, one is a graduation card for a friend's Grand daughter. This one I was at a loss, because I had no images whatever. However I looked on the imag - e - nation forum and found one Cal had made sometime last year. It was just the job - Something different. So I set about making a spring card (which I hadn't done for a long time)
The front of the card is a mortar board. Thanks Cal.

The second card was for a friend for another friend - if you get my drift! The topper was recycled from a bought card which I was given to take all the bits off.

The third was just a birthday card for my stock.

Tatty Teddies

I had two projects to do today.

The first one was for a daughter of a friend, The friend makes no bones about the fact her daughter is gay, which left me high and dry wondering what to do. But she likes wine, so I found an ideal tatty teddy image...............worse for wear on vino!

The second is for a 22 year old's sister, and he is not sure how old she is, 9 or 10 .........bless him!
Consequently I have left the age off until I know for sure, then I'll bug a number or two, and add them later.

A Variation on the Wallet Card

I'ts a male friends birthday coming up, and as I had had an enquiry on how to make the wallet card, I thought I would make a male one. I think it rather suits a mans card. What do you think?

Boutique card for Daughter in Law

How can an image change from a PNG to a PSP? I bought these images back in August and have used them before. But for some reason the PNG image was now a PSP image. I was unable to import them into greetings card factory. So some kind soul from the imag-e-nation forum, namely Her Marjiesty changed the gif images into PNG again for me...............Thank you Mam.

Anyway, this card is for my daughter in law who's birthday is 5th Nov. It is decoupaged, but as usual doesn't show up on photograph.

A card for the committee

The club we belong to is run by a committee. they were brilliant in helping to sort out the seating, being there to see the disco in and the food. They don't get paid for what they do and there is never any complaints. So I made them a card to thank them.

Our 40th Wedding Anniversary

As a few of you will know, it was our Ruby Wedding last week and we celebrated with a large party on Saturday evening. The day was manic!

Up early and prepared the plates and serviettes, put all the knives forks and spoons into baskets.

We were lucky enough to win a free disco in last years Christmas draw which came in handy! So Tony disappeared around the club at 3pm to help set up his Karaoke system with the disco. In the meantime, family were arriving at our place. We had them booked in all the local b&b's. We've only got a 2 bed bungalow and the second bedroom is now a craft room!

We had to be there early although the invites said start at 8pm we knew people were going to start arriving at 7.30pm so we were there for 7.15.
Most of the food was already set out by then, (done by caterers) we finished off by putting out the wonderful cake my son Lee made and the gateaux. A friend of ours also made two big square game pies............they were delicious..(filled with venison, rabbit, hare, pigeon and pheasant)

Then everyone started arriving..........We filled the place and had a brilliant evening. Started with 60's disco music, then Tony started his Karaoke up and serenaded me with a couple of songs (Ahhh) A few others got up including Lee and my grandson Jake.

We rolled home at about 2.30pm after helping clear up the food that was left....................there was so much that had to be binned, it was a shame.
All in all a brilliant but very busy day.

It's now Tuesday and I'm still trying to catch up!

Get well card for my brother

I've just heard he has had his hip replacement and all went well. I've made a quick card to get in the post. Image printed onto vellum first, then onto white card and matted and layered. He likes his cats!

My Grandson's card

He is aged 14 and I found it difficult to know what to do for him. But Peejay came to the rescue and pointed me in the direction of Cuddly Buddly. The image was just what I was looking for. A Trendy Teenager!

Wallet Card

I saw this made on Ideal World, and had to have a go. I think it's a lovely effect, but it takes a long time and an awful lot of card.

Take two square cards, cut one down to form a flap. Then join together. Decorate front and inside putting the brad on before you add matting and layering inside. This will hide the workings of the brad. Cut another slightly smaller card to go inside and decorate.

The topper slips down behind the brad to keep it closed.

Man's 60th Card

We all know how difficult it is to do a man's card. I was asked to do this with a fishing theme, and she didn't mind if it was humourous. I love the sentiment for a 60th, I think most men would find it funny!
